Elements of Money® - for members ages 11 - 17
As a teen, you (and your parents) can apply for a package of products and services to help you develop your money-smarts. Your parents or guardians co-sign all products so you can decide together which combination of services is right for you.

Besides a savings account (which is required), you'll automatically receive e-Statements if you have provided us with an e-mail address (which means you'll receive your statements electronically rather than printed on paper). You also get free membership in our Elements of Money financial-education program. It includes the Elements of Money quarterly newsletter, website, and online communities on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

You and your parents also have the option to choose:

  • Youth checking account. Get your own dividend-earning checking account with no monthly service fee or per-check charges. Your first 150 paper checks are free. Just $50 opens an account.
  • Visa® youth debit card (which is tied to your checking account) or ATM card. Both have daily limits of $50 cash and $250 per purchase limit.
  • Visa® youth credit card. This card has no annual fees, a low interest rate, and credit limits usually ranging from $200 to $500.
  • Youth loans of $200 to $1,000. We can help you pay for things like a school trip or musical instrument. You may apply if you have a source of income and have been an account holder in good standing for 90 days. Loans are repayable over 12 to 15 months.
